Skin Rejuvenation

Cell Health

Improved Circulation

Heating the muscles with infrared rays produces an increase in blood flow similar to that seen during exercise. Regular infrared sauna use can significantly stimulate blood flow up to twice the normal rate.

Infrared vs. Traditional Saunas

Traditional saunas you may be used to use hot rocks and steam while infrared saunas emit heat using Solocarbon heater panels located inside the sauna. We like to compare it to lying in the sun on a warm summer day and feeling the heat radiate to the core of your body.

Infrared Saunas heat the body directly unlike traditional saunas which heat the air. Our saunas penetrate the human tissue making them much more effective at detoxifying the body than the traditional sauna. By raising the body’s core temperature, infrared saunas can produce a sweat composed of 20% toxins vs only 3% toxins with a traditional sauna. Heating the body’s core directly also aids in reducing blood pressure, and weight loss. You could burn up to 600 calories in one session without lifting a finger!

How Can I prepare for my visit?

Drink plenty of water!
Be prepared to sweat a lot, treat a sauna visit just like a visit to the gym. You can burn up to 600 calories in one session. To prevent dizziness or dehydration we recommend bringing at least one liter of water, some which you should drink before you even go in.
Avoid bringing your phone.
Tuck your phone away for the time being. The light and heat emitted from our saunas can mess with your phone hardware. Take this time for yourself and use it to mediate and relax.
Time your sessions right!
We don’t reccomend staying in the infrared sauna for more than 40 minutes. Our general rule of thumb is as soon as you break your first sweat, stay in for 20 minutes longer.
Sit up if you can!
To experience the full benefits, we recommend sitting up. This way, the heaters are targetted right at your back, front and core allowing you to absorb as much infrared as possible.
Dress appropriately
We provide you with a towel to sit on and a towel to wrap your body with for the sauna. Some patients bring a swim suit. The more exposed you are to infrared the better. We reccomend bringing loose comfortable clothing you can throw on after your session.
